Hip Hoetry   PDF  Print  E-mail

Poor Best

Hip Hoetry is a play on words, regarding the obvious. Hip-Hop’s massive commercial success’s, it’s connection with the HoE’.. and it’s connection with poEtry.

The melding of these words came in a brief moment, one of those we can only describe as the “fleeting moment” like something you see just out the corner of your eye, and when you turn to look it’s gone.

Hip – Hop has transformed into a multi-billion dollar industry. With it’s empires boasting many fingers and diversification in income. Artists are continually crossing over into the marketing of media products.  In all of it’s forms, in search of that “dolla dolla bill y’all”.

This leads us to the question what limit exists in the morality of the creation of that dollar bill, in a time such as ours?

So here comes, the oldest working lady. The Ho’…and I don’t meen the shit you use to clean up your weeds. Speakin of weed’s…*….:o)-=~

The level of attainment is at it’s peak. The future is not certain, but the winds of change are ablast in the air. A climatic “joyful-rebellion” to quote a great lad named “Kevin”.

Revelations tell’s of the whore and many other things that are logical thought progressions one can have regarding past and a future that lies before a world where “Everything you can think of, in essence . . .if it can be thought. Can be done”.

This brings me to the poetic of the culture, it’s styles of communication and battle.

O’ the life of the Poet. (Khalil Gibran)

Hip-Hop like Rasta is not something I and I do, but is rather the way I live. What is true Hip-Hop? Who are those that are to the essence of it and are “KeePin it ReaL” it’s difficult to tell, and each of our criteria for our perception of keeping it real and who is keeping it real, differ but this is beyond the voice’s of inner-city youth. It’s southern drawLEr’s, Chinese, Spanish, DaRkmEn,Scottish-St.Lucian, Italian Jamaican’s and humans and that be gorgeous..all kinda peeP’s now on a world level, yo I just broke into ryme in the middle of this article, so check the mental.

The opportunity to be involved in Hip-Hop culture, is a positive impact that should be directed in as many ways as there are faces to her and the “Street Life” she plays.

The streets are watching, you ….Literally, cameras everywhere..Every purchase that isn’t a cash transaction can be traced, Safeway can tell you what groceries are in your cupboards.

Our artist’s have been telling of these days for a long time now.

We continue to ignore and follow the life of “instant gratification” because that is the seemingly obvious statement that the minority have over the majority, and the underlying meaning of “capitalism”.

So the majority of the minority,..ß- Ironic statement

Continue in daily motivations to obtain “instant gratification”. Whilst actually providing it to the minority.

While the creation of that gratification is considered “Hip” to the consumer.
Only you know what’s hip to you. Sell or be sold, the cultures will merge and one tongue will e-merge. The language of love, peace for 1000 years…ah until that day then. I and I will be dealing with the “Ho” and dreaming of the Oetry.
