Poor Best
Cop This Now

So I’m reading the credits on this Class album and all I saw was Classified; produced by Classified, written by Classified, instruments by Classified, cuts by Classified, keyboards by fuckin Classified. I’m thinkin, most people would be like
“I did everything accept …. on tracks …”
Then I had to laugh hard after hearing in the intro, “I’m still trying to show that Classified is not a group” Point taken. DJ, Beat maker, emcee, musician, Class hits you from every angle. “My last album how am I supposed to top it, only problem with it, not enough people copped it.”
Well Classified’s ‘Boy-Caught-In The Industry’ is defiantly a coppable album. If you hate Canadian Rappers that feel they are able to compete with the best of the industries underground, you’re going to hate this shit for sure. I like this Classified shit. Come on! ASR 10 fat shit. Canadian backed shit. ‘Problemz’ featuring Jayy Bizzy, J Bru, Spesh K, and Mic Boyd, seduces fans with an eerie Spanish guitar over melodic drum rolls that stand at attention. Classified lit it up with his 2001 release ‘Union Dues’, he let us understand his intentions on ‘Trial and Error’ released 2003, and kept his promises this year with ‘Boy-Caught-In The Industry’. The one man wake up call. Canada, notably Nova Scotia, got some hot shit! Memorable tracks include ‘the fifth element’, ‘It’s Just My Opinion’, and of course ‘Unexplainable Hunger’ featuring Royce 5’9 and Choclair. Class’s brother Mic Boyd makes an appearance to personally injure him in ‘Sibling Rivalry’ only to be bullied by Class and put back into his place; and that happens to be on his older brother’s record label Half Life. Classified has done the near impossible. He has managed to become considered for success in the Canadian music industry without loosing one iota of integrity. Go Get This! Unless you’re boycotting the industry.
